Allergies

This is for all of my siblings out there that have harassed me my whole life because I didn't have any allergies when the rest of them were suffering.

I just want you all to know that they have caught up to me, and I can no longer claim to be allergy free.  Not only do I have them, but I think they're trying to make up for lost time.  They are terrible.

I can't breathe.  I haven't been able to for over a month now.  I can't sleep.  My nose, eyes and throat itch incessantly.  No drugs seem to help any of the above and I actually forced myself to go to the doctor a few weeks back and still.. nothing.

I keep thinking.. only a few more weeks and then the weather will change and whatever it is that is killing me will go away.  But it just keeps getting worse, not better.

Sorry for the whining.  I probably should be glad that I've only had them for a year or two and not the past 30.  However, they seem to be taking over my life so I thought it only appropriate to share.

Besides.. I figure that ya'll might be able to help me out.. so.. any helpful tips from anyone out there??  I'll take any suggestions at this point..

My sympathies, but I'm not sure I can tell you anything the doctor can't. I take Claritin daily during the worst allergy times for me (in the spring and in the fall). Zyrtec works pretty good, too. For acute allergy attacks (such as cats or pecans) I take Benadryl. Sometimes even though I've already had my Claritin/Zyrtec or whatever. The doctor told me that I could do that w/Meg, so I figured it's OK. The downside is that Benadryl will knock me right out

I love benadryl.. I think i'm the weird one cause it does not make me tired at all. It's as it has the opposite effect on me. but then again i was always an odd one...
